Website Accessibility Statement

Identità (“the Agency”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. The Agency is continuously striving to improve the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

This accessibility statement applies to this online platform and its sub-pages.

1.0 compliance status and compatibility

As part of its effort, the Agency adheres to the accessibility standard EN301 549 and WCAG2.1 guidelines. Our online resources and products are evaluated both manually and programmatically for conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. The online platform and its sub-pages are designed to work well and be accessible when being accessed with suitable updates to hardware and software products.

The Agency strives to implement accessibility assurance methods, through the performance of accessibility scans in accordance with internal policies.

This Website is designed to work with the most recent versions of Edge, Firefox and Chrome browsers.

2.0 Limitations to Accessibility

The Accessibility Helper Sidebar provides partial accessibility features; it is a valuable third-party tool that facilitates access to all sub-pages of the online platform. Nonetheless, certain limitations may exist. Certain sub-pages may contain 3rd party libraries which are necessary for payment systems. These parts of our online platform are created using complex table structures and may lack some accessibility labels for screen readers.

In other sub-pages, the Agency uses libraries that may not highlight items on the screen when the focus is on them, and those sites may have issues with scaling page fonts to fit different size devices. Certain applications may also have some missing accessibility elements linking on-screen controls to accessible alternatives. The Agency continues to use these 3rd party libraries to provide specialized services that are unfeasible to replace due to the laborious process involved, mainly alteration to third-party code.

3.0 Alternatives

Accessible alternatives for the elements incorporated within this online platform include zoom, high-contrast settings, magnifier or text size increases which are available through your browser and operating system.

4.0 Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 16th June 2019 following a self-assessment done by Identità. The statement was last reviewed on 12th September 2023.

5.0 Feedback and contact information

Inevitably, the Agency acknowledges the fact that improvements will always be necessary. It is inevitable that the more services and resources available online, the more likely it is to overlook some issues. The Agency remains committed to addressing any accessibility issues without undue delay. In case you experience any difficulties in accessing the Agency’s website, or have trouble using any aspect of the website, the Agency encourages you to get in touch. You can send an email to [email protected] or through our website contact page.
